1/12/2016 0 Comments A Thief capturedAs her eyes slowly opened, but all she saw was the blanched if the canvas. She could already tell that she was no longer on land. She felt the ebb and flow of the waves that made the ship feel alive underneath her. There was no doubt in her mind that she had been out for a long time. Upon realizing this, she also took note that she was still encased in the canvas sack that had been thrown over her previous evening. She felt that her hand still held tight to the scroll casing. It hadn't all been in vain. Now, to make an escape and hide until they reached port.
She knew she was below deck by instinct. She was careful to remain still just in case there was a guard, but she could smell whiskey nearby and her mouth watered. It was the sound of boots on boards that shook her from her thoughts of escape. Three men with distinct gates coming way. She heard the door close. "I say we throw the entire bag overboard and have done with it." Said one voice. He eyes widened when she heard it as recognition fell upon her. Rollins was a sneaky bastard to be sure, but defiantly one to watch out for. "Calm down. We might fetch a bounty from this theif. I heard in the tavern that Governor LaVesque is looking for the one they call "The Magpie." What if she is worth her weight in gold?" Her eyes widened. They knew who she was. Worse still, they were considering turning her in for the bounty. "Roman." Said a third voice, and her heart began to thud loudly. Dear God, she was on the Cerberus. How could she have been so stupid? How could she have allowed herself to be taken by him and his crew. A dagger blade pieced the canvas and split the bag open and she wriggled free. She backed against the wall behind her facing the three men. Her eyes locked in the stormy blue eyes of Captain Dean Ambrose. "Hello Ellen." He said with a smirk. He stepped closer to her and she flinched. "Don't worry, hen. You are in no danger from us - yet." He stood in front of her roving his eyes over her body. She was wearing a man's outfit, and looked more like a young sailor than the woman he had known in the past. "I find it hard to believe I am safe with anyone aboard a pirate vessel." She said. Roman laughed and Rollins looked around as if looking for the aforementioned pirates. "You know me, Ellen. Why would I hurt you?" Ambrose said smugly. "You and I have broken ties long ago. I have little faith in your word, sir." She said. "Ah," said Captain Ambrose, "Then maybe I should take you to Barbados and get whatever I can from the Governor for my trouble. "What is that in her hand?" Rollins asked. Ellen held tight the scroll, but Roman moved toward her and wrenched it from her hand. He handed it to Ambrose who opened it. "Give it back!" She shouted, but no one was listening. Roman and Rollins were now reading over the captains shoulder, and all three looked up at her. "Ellen, are you mad?" Ambrose asked her with genuine concern. "No!" She shot back, "I am what you made me to be. I am a theif and I plan on stealing the greatest treasure in the ocean." "Leave us!" Ambrose ordered, and Roman and Rollins turned to go shutting the door after them. "You are more beautiful than I remember." Ambrose said finally cutting the silence. She glared at him. "Do you mean that or are you after the cypher for the map?" She asked dipping with venom. He considered it for a moment and said, "I mean it. I have missed you." "Says the man that left me standing like a fool at the alter." She spat. He attempted to touch her and she drew away in disgust. "If I had known..." He started. "Known what? That once you denounced the crown and went rouge that I would fall into thievery? Don't flatter yourself." She said as tears formed at the corners of her eyes. "Surely, there were other suitors for you. Someone worthy of you." He spoke softly. "Aye, there were," she looked at him, "but they weren't you." He reached for her and she let him put an arm around her. "I was cast out from the Governor's protection. He said since you defied his authority, I was not acceptable company in his home. On the streets, I learned the art and craft of a pickpocket. It wasn't long before I made my way to more expensive prey." She sinffed trying not to cry. "You always did have a delicate touch." Ambrose said as he took her hand. "I have been looking for this map for years, Dean. You can't stop me now that I am so close." She stared at him trying to read him, but his face was blank. "The Deadman's Treasure is real?" He asked. "Yes. I have one more piece of the map to aquifer, but once in hand, I know a man that can read the cypher." She became excited and filled with hope, she stood. "Dean, please, help me. I will split the treasure with you and your crew, but I must find it. I need your help." Dean looked at Ellen. "What if I say yes? Would you be willing to stay aboard the ship with a former lover who jilted you?" He asked her. "Perhaps I could be forgiving." She said with a wry smile. He reached for her and pulled her close to him. "I was a fool and a coward. If I were any kind of man, I would never have left you." He kissed her with passion and fury. Pulling away, she swooned slightly. "We have a treasure to capture." She said.

DEAN: Where am I?
LAKEISHA: Well, you are here. A Pantheon of sorts. DEAN: Who are you? MAGGIE: We are your Muses. Your Divas. DEAN: Wait. I have Muses? LAKEISHA: Yes, you do. Dean looks around the room. It's bright and very beautiful. Sitting before him are two women. LaKeisha, the regal one, wears a toga adorned with gold. Sitting atop of her head is a gold leaf crown. Maggie, the vixen, wears a leather dress adorned with gold spikes, her hair is fiery red with gold flecks. DEAN: Why am I here? MAGGIE: Well, you're here so we could tell you how proud we are of you. LAKEISHA: You see, today's a very special day. It was four years ago you made your debut. DEAN: Oh, yeah. FCW. I am very proud of my time there. Now, I'm a WWE superstar. So you brought me here to remind me of my time in FCW? LAKEISHA: No, we wanted to celebrate you. Dean, you are a force of nature. Since you have debuted, you have changed everything about wrestling. You have changed minds, hearts, and lives. MAGGIE: You are one of a kind. Never lose that spark about you. No one will ever be like you. So stay true to you. LAKEISHA: We wanted you to know that we will always be there. We will always have your back. DEAN: That sounds great, but what if I disappoint you? MAGGIE: Oh Dean! You can never disappoint us. No matter the odds, you will overcome. You will persevere. LAKEISHA: You will move forward. Because you have many people... LaKeisha waves her hand and shows Dean the millions of people who support him. LAKEISHA: Who love you and support you. DEAN: Wow, that's a lot of people! LAKEISHA: Yes, it is. DEAN: OK. So where do I go from here? MAGGIE: Up. You go up. There's no down, Dean. There's only up. Dean looks at his Muses and smiles. DEAN: You have all the answers, don't ya? LAKEISHA: Not really, but we're here to inspire you to greatness. Be extraordinary, Dean. MAGGIE: Extraordinary. LaKeisha and Maggie blow a kiss at Dean. Dean falls back. MOMENTS LATER.... ROMAN: Dean! Dean, wake up! DEAN: Wha..What? ROMAN: You alright? DEAN: Yeah. I had a strange dream. I had Muses, Bro. ROMAN: Muses? That must have been one hell of a dream. I bet they liked like center folds. Because you have that kind of imagination. DEAN: Actually, they were beautiful, but not centerfolds. One was of African-American descent. ROMAN: Whoa! A sister! Damn, Dean. You got an active imagination. Come on, we got a promo to shoot. Roman walked out of the locker room. Dean closed his eyes and remembered the words that his Muses spoke at the end: Be extraordinary. Four years. Wonder what the next four years will hold? Extraordinary things...
